01 — Our story
Safosco Company Ltd is a registered Ghanaian private company, incorporated in April 2019 and based in Feyiase on the Lake Road, near Kumasi — the heartbeat of Ghana’s Ashanti Region.
From our home in Kumasi we manufacture and distribute the STAR range of soaps, detergents and personal care essentials — built on sustainable ingredients, innovative formulations and ethical practice, so every household can afford a powerful yet gentle clean.
To manufacture and distribute quality, affordable, and innovative hygiene and personal care products that improve everyday living while creating employment, promoting local value addition, and supporting sustainable development.
We aspire to be one of Africa’s leading manufacturers of quality, innovative and sustainable household and personal care products by 2050.

Safosco is led by a small, accountable team — strategy, operations and governance, each with a name against it.
Chief Executive Officer
Kwasi Gyamfi is Chief Executive Officer of Safosco Company Ltd, setting the strategic direction for a Ghanaian manufacturer built on sustainable ingredients, innovative formulations and ethical practice. He leads the company’s mission to manufacture affordable, quality hygiene and personal care products under the STAR brand, while creating employment and promoting local value addition in Ghana.
Managing Director
Lydia Safoa is Managing Director of Safosco Company Ltd, overseeing day-to-day manufacturing, quality and distribution for the STAR range from the company’s Feyiase facility near Kumasi. In 2026 her leadership in the sector was recognised nationally when she was named Winner in the Manufacturing category at the 10th-anniversary Forty Under 40 Ghana Awards.

Dr. Mark Owusu Ansah serves as Management Consultant to Safosco Company Ltd, advising the leadership team on structure, systems and governance. His guidance supports the company’s vision to become one of Africa’s leading manufacturers of quality, innovative and sustainable household and personal care products by 2050.
